Striking Snake

Originally done just because I couldn't make a movie on the programs I have because I don't have the time, patience, and some of them keep crashing.

Anyways, the starfield was rendered first, then the nebula and so forth. The nebula (created with Apophysis 3D hack) took a little over 17 hours to render, because of the size and settings I had it on. Planet texture was created with pictures from Google Earth; speaking of which, I should make another one sometime soon. Overall render time - excluding the nebula - was roughly 24 hours if you want to count just when I was working on it. Overall - time it was open/generating - it took a little over a week to do. About a total of 45 layers plus light vectors. Final size: 3200x2400 px. 4:3 ratio.

If anyone asks, I can release a pack of it or submit it for prints, otherwise I'm not going to do so.

I welcome polite and coherent constructive criticism. I especially welcome that of experienced space artists, but suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome from any and all.
